Imagine… a place that is close to the city but also close to nature! Imagine a community that allows a "back-to-the basics", recreation-filled lifestyle, but doesn't require a day's drive. Regina Beach, Buena Vista and Kinookimaw are nestled on the South Shore of Last Mountain Lake, in the Qu'Appelle Valley, only 30 minutes northwest of the City of Regina.

A Winter Paradise… for snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, and skating being popular recreational activities. Curling enthusiasts use the indoor curling rink in nearby Lumsden.

A Summertime Haven… for water sports of all types, including fishing, boating, swimming, water skiing, wind surfing, and para-sailing. Last Mountain Lake, the central attraction, is a lake of excellent water quality, 70 miles long, 1.5 miles wide with depths up to 100 feet. Sailing buffs consider Long Lake to be one of Canada's best. The South Shore is a very popular resort area and recreation site, boasting sandy beaches, modern facilities, grassed picnic areas with barbecues, and plenty of public parking.

Our Community… boasts a 9-hole grass green golf course, yacht club, boat launch, fishing pier, and a scenic walkway / bike path along the shoreline. During the summer months, population in our community jumps to nearly 7,000 residents as people head for their cottages. More and more people are becoming year-round residents, while others choose to enjoy summers here and spend winters in a warmer climate further south.

The Best of Both Worlds… Many families are discovering they can enjoy all the amenities of nature and have only a short commute to work in the City. Year-round population in Regina Beach, Buena Vista and Kinookimaw is approximately 1,400 and the number of permanent residents is steadily increasing. Our elementary school (grades K - 8) is one of the most up-to-date educational facilities around. Students in 9 - 12 are bused to nearby Lumsden, only 15 minutes away.

You will soon discover that our property taxes are relatively low compared to the city, plus we enjoy all the benefits of a safe, small town environment. It's a great place to raise a family!
